Remote First

Why Remote

Collaborators are not limited by geographic location. The people the brand needs are in their own cities. There is no reason to require everyone to be in the same place.

Requirements for Collaborators

  • Self-management No one schedules your working hours. You drive your own progress based on agreed deliverables and deadlines.
  • Written communication Most remote collaboration happens in writing. Those who cannot express ideas clearly in text will find collaboration less efficient.
  • Time zone declaration State your resident time zone and usual availability when you join. Uniform working hours are not required, but everyone needs to know each other’s rhythm.

Limitations of Remote

Fashion involves physical objects. Fabric hand-feel, color accuracy, how a pattern fits on a body — these cannot be fully judged remotely.

How we handle it:

  • Samples and fabrics Ship physical samples. Important decisions are not made from a screen.
  • Shoots Steps that must happen in person (e.g. lookbook shoots) are planned ahead and executed in concentrated sessions. Participants attend as needed.
  • Quality checks Pre-production sign-off is based on physical samples, not photos.

Remote is the default state, not the only state. When in-person is needed, arrange it directly — no insistence on formality.
